What is peel season? Fall and winter are considered the best time to target specific skin concerns like hyperpigmentation (brown spots) and fine lines and wrinkles. This is because some in-office procedures and products used at home can be too harsh on the skin during times of increased sun exposure.
What is a chemical peel? A chemical peel is a deeper form of exfoliation for your skin that uses a combination of acids to promote a faster cell turnover rate. This results in shedding dead cells on the surface of your skin, as well as improved texture and hyperpigmentation. Anticipated reactions from chemical peels range from very mild sloughing of dead skin cells to moderate sheet-like peeling. Method Medspa offers three chemical peels, from superficial to deep:
ZO Skin Stimulator
This is the mildest peel offered at Method. This peel is perfect for clients who are new to the treatment type or want to avoid excessive skin sloughing. It is gentle enough for all skin types. Most clients don’t peel at all, just experience brightened and softened skin. This peel has added antioxidants to neutralize free radicals and calm the skin.The ZO Skin Stimulator has no downtime, so you can leave with immediate glowing and healthy skin.
ZO Stimulator Peel + (New!)
A brand new treatment from our favorite ZO Skin Health, Stimulator + is a moderate strength peel. It is ideal for brown or red hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne, and congestion. Safe for all skin types, it features a unique combo of glycolic, lactic, and azelaic acids for comprehensive skin renewal. Stimulator + results in some some moderate flaking and sloughing of skin around the mouth and nose area. Book one Stimulator + treatment for immediate moderate resurfacing, or 2-3 treatments separated by 2 weeks for maximum results.
The Perfect Derma Peel
The Perfect Derma Peel is the deepest chemical peel offered at Method Medspa. It contains glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that lightens and brightens the skin. The Perfect Derma Peel is safe for all skin types. It is an effective treatment for reducing hyperpigmentation and sun spots, softening fine lines, and evening skin texture and tone. This results in a smoother and overall youthful complexion. With the Perfect Derma Peel, peeling begins about day 3 and lasts 2-4 days. Clients can expect moderate sheet flaking during this time. Book a Perfect Derma Peel 2 weeks before your holiday gatherings to reveal smooth and glowy skin, or start a new treatment plan with Perfect Derma Peel and microneedling in January for a new year refresh.
